Cross country

Come October, mud and medals beckon. Phoenix fields strong teams – from the Under13s to 60 year olds – and regularly gets among the honours in a season packed with exciting racing.

Sussex Cross Country League

A four-race series for all age groups, competing against clubs from all over the county. In 2009/10 Phoenix senior men won team bronze.

County Championships

This year saw gold for Phoenix's Sophie Coleman in the U20's and Charlie Grice in the U17's heading some fine individual performances by our young athletes. There were team medals for the under 15 boys and under 17 men. The senior men's and women's teams also achieved medal positions.

Meanwhile at the separate masters event our over 60's men were gold medallists.

South Of England and National Championships

Many of us at all age levels go on to compete at regional and national level.
